Should I decide to go ahead with your services, what would be the next steps?

Having chosen to become a Tax Concept client and as part of our professional code of conduct and good practice, we will send you a ‘letter of engagement’. This confirms in detail the work we are to undertake on your behalf, who will be handling your affairs and the fees to be charged. We are required by law to obtain proof of your identity; this is a process which will be explained to you fully upon engagement. We would then send you details of everything we require to complete your accounts and tax return. At all stages, we are here to answer any questions you have if there is anything you are unsure about.

Do I have to wait until my financial year end before changing accountants?

You do not have to wait until the end of the financial year to change your accountant. You can do this at any time throughout the year.

Can I change accountants if my registered address is my accountant’s office?

There is no charge for changing your registered address and we are happy to provide you with our address for this purpose and deal with the necessary paperwork.

Do I have to pay to change accountants?

Your current accountant should not charge you for providing the normal handover information.

What if I wish to cancel your services part way through the year?

You would be given a full refund of any fees paid to us, less the value of any work completed by us to the date of cancellation.

How much will it cost?

Our fees are based on your needs, so please contact us to discuss it or fill in the Request a Quote form. We try to give fixed fee wherever possible, so you can budget effectively. We also give you the option of spreading your payments in monthly instalments. Should you require work on a tight deadline, we would usually request a deposit followed by final payment on completion.

I don’t live near you – does that matter?

Maybe 60% our clients are based in Greater London and the rest are located anywhere from Scotland to Cornwall. With today’s technology we can work with each other remotely, and we always respond quickly to emails or phone calls from our clients so that we can work together effectively.
